I am an expat living in Korat and I have found that there is hardly any good Korat guide on the internet which is why I have started this Korat guide blog to help others find information on Korat, Thailand.
Korat is one of the largest cities in Thailand and is often called " The gateway to Isaan". Korat is located about three hours drive North East of Bangkok which is the Thai capital.
Korat is well known among the US militairy as Korat was home to one of the largest US airforce bases during the Vietnam War.
There are many expats living in Korat as many expats have ended up marrying local Korat girls. Many young Korat girls can be found working in the bars in Bangkok, Pattaya, Phuket and Samui.
